Divisional Financial Controller

This profitable international Construction, Design & Engineering group, t/o £2bn, operates through several key operating divisions and specialises in the design, planning and maintenance of some of the world's most iconic buildings. Enjoying continued growth in recent years, the business has ambitious plans to capitalise on this success. As a result of an increasing number of projects and the promotion of the current incumbent to Group Financial Controller, the group is currently seeking a qualified accountant to undertake a Central Financial Controller role. Supporting the monthly reporting for central cost function and business partering with functional heads, your broad and varied brief includes:

•Management of a team of 8 qualified & part-qualified accountants
•Responsibility for production of Monthly actuals for central functions through support & guidance to the team
•Overall responsibility for production of quarterly Forecasts for central functions including accurate & timely upload into HFM (consolidation tool)
•Responsibility of governance & control of Balance Sheets across all Central companies
•Lead quarterly reviews with Group Financial Controller & half yearly reviews with CFO
•Key contact for external Banks & Internal Banking facility
•Ensuring the required level of control & governance of BU Bank accounts as prescribed by BU policy
•Ownership of Central Items on a monthly & quarterly basis
•Involvement during the quarterly Forecast cycle, taking ownership for individual processes & outputs

As a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, you will demonstrate significant PQE operating at key stakeholder level, financial analysis, business partnering and month end reporting experience gained within a commercial business environment. As a self-motivated, proactive individual with evidence of influencing senior management, you will be an energetic individual with the ability to challenge the status quo.
