A thriving independent company of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers based on the outskirts of Maidenhead, Berkshire are currently seeking to recruit a motivated Personal Tax Senior to join their team.
Personal Tax Senior Role Summary
Primarily, to review Self Assessment and Trust & Estate Tax Returns
To complete Self Assessment and Trust & Estate Tax Returns to a high standard
To undertake project work as required into various tax issues principally related to income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
Key Responsibilities of the Personal Tax Senior and Accountabilities
Managing a client portfolio and ensuring timely billing
Preparing Self Assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships and Trusts & Estates
Calculating and reconciling tax liabilities
Production of self employed accounts and rental income statements
Preparing other tax claims such as VAT returns, Tax credit claims etc
Assisting managers & partners in tax enquiry work into private clients and business clients
Preparing forms P11d/ P11D(b) forms and associated workings
Preparing forms EMI 40 and Form 42
Researching tax planning issues and transactional tax matters
Preparing written correspondence, communications, and other documents for submission to clients, professional contacts and the tax authorities
Participating fully in the regular tax departmental meetings, including ideas to improve performance
Building, maintaining and developing in a professional manner, existing client relationships
Ensuring compliance with the Firm’s published policies and procedures
The ideal candidate with be a CTA or ATT qualified or someone with previous experience who is studying to become a CTA and in return you will receive a salary of between £35k-£45k + benefits.
