Commercial Finance Manager

A fantastic company based in Crewe who pride themselves on their core values and traditions has an exciting requirement for a Commercial Finance Manager to join the senior management team.


This is a newly created role reporting in to the UK Head of Finance and key result areas include:


Commercial Performance:

*Engage with and provide business support to cross functional teams to drive business critical decisions and ensure the effective assessment of their profitability.

*Identify opportunities to improve the financial performance of the UK business

*Support departmental management teams to build, implement and continuously improve systems and processes

*Develop and maintain effective financial and management reporting routines and processes that ensure the UK business and departmental management are provided with accurate,m relevant and timely information mainly in respect of sales reporting, customer and profitability reporting, raw material performance tracking and standard cost updating


Management & Statutory Reporting:

*Maintain accurate P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflow information

*Weekly and monthly report preparation and circulation

*Completion of weekly, monthly and year end routines for turnover and rebates including preparation, reconciliation and analysis


Managing Controls & Risk:

*Continuously assess key risk areas of the business to identify, monitor and develop the control systems in place and ensure these are maintained. Work with the departmental managers to implement risk management measures


Financial Planning & Budgeting:

*Manage the sales forecasting process for the UK business.

*Support financial planning process for the UK sites and work with the UK FC to consolidate plan.


The Person:

*Qualified Accountant with FMCG/Manufacturing experience

*Strong commercial finance and analytical skills

*ERP experience

*Experience of sales and margin management and profitability analysis/cost control
