Head of Shared Services

BTG are working exclusively with their Manchester City Centre based client as they look to bring on board an experienced, qualified finance professional, in the role of Head of Shared Services. This is a great opportunity for someone to take the next step in their career into a market leading business.

Your Role

The Head of Shared Services will lead and develop a team, covering key finance processes, including accounts payable, cash processing and third-party administration. In this role you will be constantly looking to improve and refine processes to enable greater efficiency across the SSC. You will support the Shared Service Director in ensuring teams are reviewing, implementing and following best practice in all operations.

Key aspects of your responsibility include:

• Aim to maximise efficiency in the Finance function
• Develop effectiveness of the Finance function through continuous training and development of the team.
• Lead and motivate the team to high levels of performance
• Lead the integration of new acquisitions into the shared services function efficiently and effectively
• Investigate and evaluate integration of other functions into the shared service environment
• Provide focused, innovative and value-adding Management Reporting and Analysis

Your Profile & The Company

The right candidate will be a qualified accountant, (CIMA,ACCA or ACA) with proven experience of leadership role in multi-disciplinary environment with excellent line management experience. The nature of this role requires, excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
