Responsibilities
A leading national charity is currently seeking a committed Financial Accounting and Controls Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Central Finance, this exciting permanent opportunity will see the successful candidate playing a key role in the Head Office finance team.
The successful candidate will be tasked with leading a small finance team and with responsibilities including:
- Managing a team of 5 who are responsible for the primary ledgers, financial controls, production and reconciliation of the balance sheet, cash flow, VAT/ TAX compliance and statutory accounts production.
- Producing annual statutory accounts and consolidated accounts
- Leading the charity’s annual audit process
- Establishing tight cost controls and principles to ensure effective pricing and full cost recovery.
- Playing the lead role in driving continuous improvement in terms of financial processes and systems.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with strong technical skills, including ideally previous experience within the charity sector and experience of staff management.

ACCA, CIMA, ACA Qualification
