Elevation Senior Finance are currently looking to recruit a Group Finance Manager on behalf of a manufacturing and distribution business in Bradford.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity for a practice trained accountant looking to make the next step in their career. Managing a small team, you will be responsible for managing the production and reporting of management and statutory accounts, and ensuring effective controls and processes are in place.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Production of accurate and timely management and statutory accounts
- Review and interpret the results to ensure integrity of the accounts, understanding key movements and variances
- Improve processes to ensure the Group remains fully compliant with IFRS
- Write accounting papers to explain the latest IFRS developments to senior management
- Maintenance of general ledgers
- Report financial accounting information as requested
- Manage the month-end process and timescales
- GL/balance sheet reconciliations - review, sign off and follow up on a monthly basis and any discrepancies investigated and resolved
- Review VAT returns and Intrastat returns
- Provide monthly, quarterly and annual statutory information to parent company
- Tax packs
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Manage of fixed assets, verification and control
- Comply with internal and external financial policies, standards and controls, whilst understanding the impact of own role on other areas
- Work with the business to drive, improve and enhance controls, documentation and the control framework

The successful Finance Manager will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to work to tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills
- Technical accounting skills
- Clarity of vision and ability to drive change
- Effective team leadership skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience of other financial systems
- Proven experience of financial and management accounting
- Experience of working in a regulated environment
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- ACA qualified
