Finance Director

The psd Group is currently retained to recruit a Finance Director for a leading housebuilder based near Paignton. 

The role will provide leadership and direction for the Finance and IT functions, ensuring effective delivery of the strategic and operational service to the senior management team, Board and other stakeholders in the delivery of the business.

Duties will include:

• Provide leadership to the Board’s finance strategy to optimise the Company’s financial performance and strategic position.
• Provide financial insight and support to the commercial teams. 
• Prepare monthly management accounts and year end statutory packs.
• Review and report on sales and marketing budgets.
• Submit the monthly VAT and CIS returns
• To forecast valuations revenues in conjunction with the Sales Director for inclusion in the quarterly valuations.
• Provide support on all land appraisals analysing returns and mitigating risk.
• To produce monthly management accounts including board report to a strict timetable.
• To prepare half year and full year financial accounts and statistics packs to strict timetables.
• To prepare annual budgets, including units, revenue, direct costs and overheads.
• To coordinate divisional information technology issues.
• Other ad hoc duties

Person

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of operating at board level within the residential development or property related industry.  

Offer

£95,000 plus car, competitive bonus and benefits.
