Model Development Analyst
Our client is a global leader in providing financial information services, credit ratings and research.
Their Model Development Team (MDT) is looking for a Model Development Analyst to focus on the maintenance and enhancement of Corporate and Sovereign Rating models and documentation.
You will be teamed up with other talented developers within MDT on other financial models giving the opportunity to see a wide variety of modelling techniques. Through these projects, you will gain valuable credit modelling experience, a sound understanding of rating criteria and knowledge of model governance framework, practices and the regulatory environment.
The role offers broad exposure to rating process, model development function and second line of defence risk management teams. As a result, the successful candidate will experience working with a wide variety of people across multiple disciplines giving the opportunity for career development, from fundamental analysis to other areas of risk management.
The Model Development Analyst will report to the Head of the Model Development Team for Corporate and Public Finance.

Key responsibilities:
- Involved in thorough testing of model development projects
- Conducting filing and documentation reviews
- Maintenance and enhancement of the Corporate and Sovereign Rating models
- Involvement in other model development projects
- Model documentation
- Building a positive cooperative relationship with the analytical team
- Masters or Degree in quantitative disciplines
- 0 - 2 years of commercial experience within financial sector
- Some quantitative or financial modelling experience
- Advanced skills in Excel, proficient in VBA
- Capable of explaining and communicating the technical aspects of modelling clearly
- CFA or accountancy knowledge/experience
- Previous exposure to credit rating analysis or credit modelling
- Programming in R or Python
