Finance Manager

A leading, forward-thinking and modern retail business is looking to expand their finance team with the addition of a new Finance Manager. Offered on a full-time, permanent basis, this Finance Manager role is to be based in Merseyside.

Your overall responsibilities as Finance Manager will be to support the commercial objectives of the business, drive profit growth and identify operational efficiencies.

About the role

In this Commercial Finance Manager role, you will provide support and analysis to several non-finance teams, aiding decision making, contributing to the definition of financial targets and then supporting delivery of results. Importantly, you will have significant interaction with the relevant directors, working together to ensure that their respective teams are partnering excellently. Your other duties as Finance Manager will include:

• Being the main point of contact for relevant director relationships
• Working with non-finance teams to provide comprehensive commercial forecasts
• Providing accurate analysis to aid commercial decision making
• Supporting and challenging non-finance stakeholders to drive greater efficiency and improve profitability
• Business partnering the team to help deliver business plans, highlighting opportunities, challenges and issues
• Presentation and provision of excellent reporting at team meetings
• Supporting the budgeting process
• Improving sales growth
• Offering commercial decision support

Candidate requirements

The business seeks a CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified Finance Manager with 2+ years of PQE who demonstrates:

• Experience within a fast paced, high volume environment
• Experience working with distribution, retail & consumer markets
• Excellent IT skills including advanced excel including modelling
• Flawless reporting and analytical skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• The ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities
