Senior Investment Governance Analyst - Edinburgh

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Analyst - Investment Governance to join our financial services client in Edinburgh on a permanent basis.
The key purpose of this role will be to own and drive decisions around asset allocation changes, manager changes and project activity; running in depth analysis to monitor funds' risk / return performance.
Responsibilities:
- Managing end-to-end process of key Governance activity through the decision making process - e. reviews of strategically important funds and Distributor Influence Funds
- Carrying out technical assessment of UK funds - Performance v benchmark and peer group, Investment Risk, Net costs
- Leveraging attribution analysis to define the key performance drivers
- Defining actions to drive fund performance improvement
- Providing insight into the analysis and synthesise the information to an appropriate level.
- Leading analysis and recommendations for project activity.
- Manage, develop and enhance the governance of Corporate Actions on the insured fund range, driving recommendations.
- Assessing external suppliers of data and analytical services, providing advice to Senior Stakeholders.
- Implementing Investment's compliance with regulations, risk appetite and Audit actions
- Developing deep understanding of current regulations from professional bodies e. FCA, DWP, EU
- Undertaking analyses or work with Investments team to ensure all funds, investment process, and monitoring is compliant with relevant regulations.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar Investment landscape with experience including asset allocation, investment processes, investment styles, fund managers, funds, solutions and possess sound regulatory understanding in respect of investments - e. Investment Rules / TCF. This role requires deep understanding of fund management practices, retail and institutional fund structures, and performance measurement tools.
- Excellent Communication skills and the ability to simplify complexity
- Ability to manage senior and challenging stakeholders effectively
- Highly developed capability in data management and analysis using Excel and other tools with use of its various functions for investment analysis.
- Ability to use in-depth knowledge and experience to solve complex problems independently
- Facility to draw insight from analyses
- Skills in investment and fund analysis in areas such as performance analysis, peer group comparison, risk assessment, correlation analyses
