Group Finance Manager

Due to growth in the business my client, a well known Northwich based PLC, is seeking to fill the role of Group Accountant, based at its head office. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, technically strong, qualified accountant, ideally with a good working knowledge of Hyperion/HFM. This is a role with fantastic progression and development prospects, at a FTSE business that is growing both organically and through an aggressive acquisition plan.

Key Responsibilities

• To support management through the provision of timely and accurate forecast financial information as required.
• Take ownership of the consolidation of forecast financial information and preparation of associated board papers.
• Provide support on acquisitions, projects, ad-hoc analyses and other Group Finance tasks as needed to drive the growth of the business.
• Forecast financial information
• Consolidation and planning of Group budget, reforecasts and strategic plan with consideration given to currency impacts in conjunction with divisions.
• Preparation of timely and accurate analyses and board presentations to support the forecast financial information.
• Preparation of rolling forecasts and cash flow forecasts.
• Maintenance of Hyperion Planning i.e. adding new entities for acquisitions, updating account structures.
• Preparation of the monthly investor sheet on a timely and accurate basis (updated for monthly exchange rates).
• Internal valuation of acquisition intangibles.
• Assist with refinancing projects.
• Competitor benchmarking.

Person specification

• Must be fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
• In-depth knowledge of accounting systems and best practices
• Experience of co-ordinating and consolidating Group processes including Budget/Reforecasts/Strat Plan reporting across multinational groups
• Working knowledge of Hyperion Planning system desirable
• Experience of working in a large and complex PLC
