About the role
You will be joining this growing and ambitious team where you will be reporting directly into the Group Finance Director.
Your role will include:
- Responsible for leading and developing a team of high-performing staff including sales ledger, purchase ledger & payroll
- Preparing monthly consolidated management accounts
- Prepare financial statements and submit to Group including (VAT, PAYE and tax)
- You will take the lead working with Senior stakeholders/budget holders to develop and maintain budgets / financial plans including high-value on-going projects
- Maintaining cash-flows and on-going project performance – providing commentaries on variances
- You will ensure processes in place are effective and lead on new system/process re-design where required
- Supporting the Directors and Management team with expected growth strategies including acquisitions
About you
Ideally you will be Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with previous experience working within Practice. Our client will also welcome applicants who are CIMA qualified with considerable experience working within a fast-paced, project lead market (construction/property development/engineering/manufacturing). You will have strong technical skills and ideally experienced managing and developing a team where you have improved financial processes. You will have strong financial knowledge and be up to date with Accounting Standards including FRS102 and IFRS15.
The package
Salary £60,000 - £65,000 plus an excellent, flexible benefits package.
