A market leading business in the Thames Valley currently have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join them and make a real impact on the business. Offered on a full-time, permanent basis, this high-profile Finance Manager position is based in Reading. The business is well known for hiring strong talent and developing their people well.

Responsibilities of your new role

The core duties of your new Finance Manager role will include:

• Ensuring high quality reporting for both internal and external reports, including the monthly executive pack, the monthly board information pack, interim financial statements, annual financial statements and ad hoc reporting
• Leading, motivating and developing a team of four accountants
• Playing a key part in developing and streamlining reporting, ensuring consistency across all reports
• Significant exposure to different audiences, and the output will be used by the Executive to monitor and understand performance, facilitate strategic decisions and drive efficiencies

This is an extremely varied Finance Manager opportunity in a large organisation that will give you a real chance to make an impact on the way the company operates, putting you in regular contact with senior stakeholders. You will drive both the internal and external financial reporting and the relationship between finance and the wider business.

Candidate profile

The business is looking for applications from Finance Manager applicants who demonstrate:

• Professional accounting qualification
• A proven understanding of statutory, management and regulatory reporting

• Ideally from a large company background with significant career progression to date
