Our client, based in Plymouth are looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant who has extensive experience within manufacturing.This is a rare opportunity to join a major regional company in a high profile and key position within the business.
The main purpose of the role will be to support Operations, analysing financial performance within the production areas and proactively driving business improvements.
General Duties:
- Production of budgets, forecasts and manufacturing plans to monitor performance and progress against them using variance analysis
- Financial business partnering across various departments
- Contribute to the ongoing development of financial plans which deliver savings and improved value for money
- Preparation of statistical information and reports in order to identify trends and areas of improvement, along with financial solutions
- To proactively identify process improvements
- To carry out project work as required
- To demonstrate commercial awareness regarding the company's products, customers, markets and production processes
Candidates:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the manufacturing sector
- Have a strong operational background
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate financial information to Senior Managers
- High standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
