About Bennett Brooks:

Bennett Brooks Chartered Accountants, a successful and established firm with 7 UK based offices, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Chester based team.

Requirements of this Senior Accountant​ role:

• ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified.
• 5 years PQE.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud bookkeeping software,accounting apps, tools and cloud-based payment systems.
• Experience of ‘Xero App Advisory’ projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Working knowledge of IRIS.
• Understanding of FRS102 including section 1A.
• Completer/finisher.                                                  

The Senior Accountant role will involve:

• Training clients on the use of cloud software – one to one, small group and seminars.
• Providing advice to clients.
• Completing monthly bookkeeping and quarterly VAT returns using software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
• Completing accounts preparation assignments to partner review stage using IRIS and other tools aligned with Xero and QuickBooks.
• Keen interest in keeping up to date with new developments in cloud accounting.
• Networking.
• Helping to grow the business.
• Managing a small team of accountants including training and supervising.
