Property Purchase Ledger Assistant. Our Client is UK wide firm of Chartered Surveyors who deal with both commercial and residential properties. They have multiple offices across the UK and they offer mainly property and asset management services. They are now looking to hire an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to work alongside with the Accounts Payable Team and the wider Accounting Team.

The Role:

  • Daily processing of purchase ledger invoices.
  • Preparing and producing of weekly BACS runs and the occasional CHAPS payments.
  • Reviewing daily payment bank reconciliation, booking supplier refunds and void payments by cheque and BACS in accordance with the SLA.
  • Updating the PL standing operating procedures in line with any process changes.
  • Performing accurate statement reconciliations across multiple systems.
  • Daily importing of approved invoice files into respective property management systems.
  • Managing and responding to internal and external queries in accordance with company SLA.

The Candidate: To apply, the candidate MUST be an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant / Clerk and this experience must be gained from working within the property / real estate sector. The incumbent will be used to handling high levels of payments and thrive in a fast-paced environment. It is essential that one has a keen eye for detail and can work in an organised, methodical manor. Strong IT are essential and it will be highly advantageous if the person has experience of using a property management system such as QUBE, TRAMPS, YARDI or similar.
