Finance Director

Finance Director required for Manchester based Manufacturing firm. Outstripping its competitors this company has doubled in size in recent years and is as such investing into new areas of business. The Finance Director will join the senior management team in working with the MD to scale the current infrastructure to meet growth targets.

The Finance Director role will involve:

• Developing and implementing financial disciplines and controls with significant input into the strategic direction of the business. 
• Working with the Managing Director and senior management team; advising, influencing and supporting them.
• Ensure open channels of communication are created between finance and the business
• Formulating robust financial targets and budgets and challenging the business on maximising their performance
• Ensuring a strong financial controls framework is adhered to at all times
• Managing 3rd party external relationships with banks, insurers etc
• Overall responsibility for HR and IT functions
• Day to day leadership of the established finance function, ensuring the team are motivated and continually developed

The successful Finance Director will be a fully qualified Accountant ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA, with significant experience in a financial leadership role. Experience of the manufacturing sector is essential and you must have the passion, drive and understanding of the sector to positively impact the business.  You must be a well-rounded, high calibre finance professional with a strong balance of controls and commercial finance.
