Part Time Payroll Officer

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are assisting a successful and established Scunthorpe business with their search for a part time Payroll / HR assistant on a permanent basis.

THE JOB:

Reporting into the Finance Manager and ideally working 3 days per week (flexible) your key duties will be:

• Produce HR correspondence including employment contracts, job offer letters, maternity/paternity letters and all other HR letters as requested
• Monitor employee absence
• Provide HR support to the management team during probationary, disciplinary and grievance procedures
• Maintain employee data in compliance with new GDPR rules
• Assist with review and development of HR policies
• Support the recruitment process, including advertising, interviewing, selection and developing job descriptions
• Weekly processing of payroll including overtime, statutory payment and holiday calculations
• Processing of payroll correspondence and prepare and maintain payroll files
• Resolve employee payroll queries
• Produce a variety of payroll reports

THE PERSON:

You must have previous payroll experience and ideally some HR administration experience though there is some training and development with HR available, be professional and able to effectively work with confidential information.

This is a busy, varied role for somebody looking for part time work and the business can be flexible with the working hours and working days though the preference would be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
