Incredible opportunity for an ambitious and proactive Financial Controller / Head of Finance to make the step to Finance Director.

This is an aspirational SME growing organically and operating internationally. They are also considering future acquisitions.  You will be the primary finance contact for the business (reporting directly to the MD).

You will have chance to really make a difference, working with the small board of directors to define and deliver a growth strategy over the next 2-5 years and beyond.

You will manage a small cohesive team and have a track record of coaching and mentoring others.

The agile SME would suit someone who enjoys making positive change rather than ‘ticking along’.  You will spend your time developing reporting, providing insightful MI, making informed suggestions regarding commercial and operational decision making.

You will also manage all external relationships (banks, insurers, auditors).

The day job is the day job – ensuring cash is well managed, management accounts are reliable and timely, months ends and year end are plain sailing, everyone in finance is challenged supported and happy!

There is loads of scope to develop the role as the business expands and you will be a pivotal voice in the senior leadership team – ultimately playing an integral part in delivering growth and increased profitability, protecting margins, managing costs, investigating and penetrating new markets & potentially purchasing businesses.
