As part of a small yet pivotal Group Reporting team, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the external financial reporting of the Group, benefitting from a broad education in group finance and gaining exposure to senior stakeholders within the business.

The Group Reporting Accountant will use their technical accounting knowledge to support in the production and review of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, as well as to support local finance teams across all international locations. The successful candidate will also be proactive and motivated to drive projects to implement change and streamline Group processes.

 

What you will do:

  • Own the monthly accounting for key Group subsidiaries, to be prepared in line with the reporting timetable
  • Monthly review and analysis of all subsidiary results
  • Prepare monthly Group schedules to support the consolidated numbers and the analysis provided to senior management and the Board
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for the Group
  • Work with, and be a key contact for, the external auditors, providing required deliverables and supporting a smooth audit process
  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts for key subsidiaries
  • Support local accounting teams with technical accounting matters
  • Play a key role in the improvement of Group internal controls and reporting processes.
  • Own and maintain the documentation of company information for all Group subsidiaries
  • Completion of relevant project work (including acquisition related activity, as necessary)

 

What you have done?

  • Relevant professional qualification, such as ACA (or similar)
  • Sound and up to date knowledge of IFRS essential
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Proactive and keen to drive change
  • Exposure to listed companies an advantage
