  • Job Description
  • Responsible for leading the commercial finance function supporting, challenging, engaging with and reporting on the business to improve the commercial effectiveness and success of the organisation
  • Pro-actively identifying and engaging across the sales teams on large strategic deals and providing direction and support to maximise success on all major bids
  • Development of a broad overview across the sales and commercial functions, providing insight around their performance, processes, systems and methodologies
  • Maintaining and managing pricing methodology and models
  • Providing commercial guidance, analysis and insight into all product lines and how they link to Ryder's business strategies
  • Delivery of the sales business plan
  • Developing strong relationships across a wide range of customer, suppliers and key internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Asset Management and Procurement
  • Management of a small diverse team

The Successful Applicant

  • Professional Finance qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, with a minimum of 10 years PQE
  • Strong business facing commercial background with a proven track record of supporting and partnering with Sales and Marketing functions
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with experience of influencing a matrix management team
  • Must be commercially astute, with a strategic approach, strong numeric and analytical skills
  • Credible relationship builder, with a creative approach to problem solving
  • Experience of working in a fast paced organisation, preferably from a leasing or contract driven environment
  • Strong IT skills including excellent Excel skills

What's on Offer

£70,000 to £85,000 plus car, bonus, private healthcare and pension
