A high-profile business based near Chester is looking for an interim Project Accountant to complete a 12 month contract.
About the Role
The Project Accountant will take responsibility for the daily operation of the finance department, including the implementation of financial policies, systems and procedures, as well as general project administration.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, your key duties will include:
- Management accounts
- Financial reporting
- Implementation of financial systems and procedures
- Administration of policies and trade compliance
- Banking and funding applications
- Group reporting
- Import and export
- VAT legislation
- Cost control and analysis and investigation of materials, variances and data as required
- Business partnering
Candidate Requirements
The Project Accountant will ideally have:
- Previous experience working in a similar project-based role
- Strong Excel skills
- Systems experience
- The ability to investigate and analyse data as required
- CIMA, ACCA or ACA and Prince 2 qualifications – highly advantageous
On Offer
The successful Accountant will be rewarded with a salary of £38,000 - £40,000 per annum.
