Management Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager

Management Accountant / Accountant required to join a growing small to medium sized business in the distribution sector.

Whilst reporting to the Financial Controller and working with the Finance Manager this is a newly created hands-on role giving broad exposure to the finance function covering management and financial reporting. Excellent progression opportunity with succession planning.

Day to duties and accountabilities include: helping with the production of Management Accounts, supporting the financial accounting and transactional finance including VAT, financial planning and modelling, development and maintenance of KPI's, analysis of actual verses plan along with provision of commentary, reporting on profit margins and pipeline, assisting with forecasting and budgeting, assisting with stock control and ad hoc work such as future acquisitions.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recently qualified Accountant from a practice looking to take a first step into industry and equally suited to someone who wants to work for a local and friendly business who are growing offering a sensible work/life balance and long-term progression.

You will be a recently qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA or an experienced accountant looking for an opportunity to join a growing friendly business.
