Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be recruiting on an exclusive basis for a prestigious manufacturing business in a convenient central Derbyshire location. They currently have a requirement for an ambitious and committed Management Accountant to work as part of their central accounting team of 3. You will be working in a division of large corporate PLC business with ambitious plans for the future.
The role:
Reporting straight to the Financial Controller, the purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive accounting support for the site and provide reports to the group in terms of timely management accounting information, cost management, MI analysis, as well as business partnering with operations.
*Production of Monthly Management Accounts (including P&L and Balance Sheet)
*Balance Sheet reconciliations
*Variance analysis
*Sales reporting (including profitability and margin analysis)
*KPI reporting
*Departmental reporting and related analysis
*Budgeting and Forecasting (including re-forecasting)
*Cost analysis and review
*Analysis of production and distribution costs (fixed and variable)
*Trend/Operational analysis (deep dive)
*Business partnering with various stakeholders (including operational managers; manufacturing departments, procurement and supply chain and site managers)
*Discussing financial and budgetary information with non-finance
*Inventory accounting (Including stock valuation and movement)
*Maintaining files for audit purposes
*Providing financial justification for Capex proposals and assisting with the approval process
*Capex cost control and associated reporting
*Maintaining the fixed asset register (including depreciation)
*Utilisation of reporting tools such as Q&A and Cognos to data mine
*Ad-hoc project work to instigate continuous improvement
*Producing daily and weekly sales reports
*Visiting other sites in UK (Periodic approx. 6-7 times a year)
*Assisting with raising purchase orders and sales invoicing (ad-hoc)
*Provide cover for Assistant Accountant as an when required
The Person:
*Fully Qualified (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA) or Qualified by Experience
*Manufacturing experience would be advantageous
*Confident and clear communicator
*Analytically minded
*Ability to deal with non-financial stakeholders
*Team player and willingness to be 'hands-on'
*Strong eye for detail
*Ability to be able to work to tight deadlines
*Good systems knowledge
*Strong Excel skills (Intermediate to Advanced)
