Accountant

Experienced accountant to work for market leading Manufacturing Group based in Hertfordshire

Market leading manufacturing company based in Elstree ,Hertfordshire require an experienced part qualified Accountant to join a small friendly Finance team and work closely with the Financial Controller . Duties will include :
Assisting with the Monthly management accounts preparation.
Assisting with the Production of profit and loss
Purchase Ledger administration to include coding of purchase invoices
Liaising with Purchasing Department on purchase orders and invoice approvals
To complete and maintain sales invoices and reports
Accruals & prepayments
Assist ing with the Preparation of the monthly Accounts Pack for review
Bank reconciliation, posting and balancing
Assisting with payroll, petty cash and other journal posting
Assisting with daily bank receipts postings
Assisting with Annual budget preparation and Year end audit analysis
Set up new suppliers on accounting software
Reports on debtors and creditors
Quarterly VAT return preparation
Maintaining and monitoring of Job Costings
Assisting in monitoring of stock along with regular reconciliations

Person Specification
Part Qualified AAT /CIMA /ACCA or similar with stable employment history
Excellent excel skills and Oracle experience preferred but not essential
A good all round knowledge of accounting systems and processes
Proactive individual focused on system and reporting improvements
Payroll experience an advantage
Some experience in preparation of balance sheet accounts
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
