KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

 

 

Finance-

 

Assist and support monthly reporting for Asset Finance and Asset Central to ensure that monthly tasks are prepared accurately and to deadlines:

· Prepare IFRS 9 credit provisioning calculations and adjustments, including investigation and resolution of discrepancies

· Prepare analysis for overheads and other selected lines for branches

· Support preparation of monthly reporting packs

· Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies

· Preparation of funding graphs to identify funding requirements for the book

· Review invoices and ensure that they are coded correctly

· Preparation of standard and ad-hoc journals

· Support the corporation tax and PSA processes to ensure the tax team receive accurate information on a timely basis

· Assist the preparation of interim and full year group reporting packs as well as financial statements

· Support the external year-end audit process to ensure a clean audit report

· Ensure all key processes are documented and that assumptions are regularly reviewed for appropriateness. Assist Finance Manager with process improvements.

· Continually review existing reporting and make improvements to the quality of information provided

· Cover the critical tasks of other team members during annual / sick leave

· Perform any ad-hoc tasks requested by the line manager or Finance Manager

People-

· Actively support the Bank's Visions and Values and ensure that they are promoted and adhered to within the team

Conduct, Risk and Compliance-

 

· Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required

 

 

 

 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

 

Education & Qualifications

 

Essential

· Degree qualified in a numerate degree and strong A-Level performance (ABB)

· Desire to study ACCA or CIMA
