This PE-backed, consumer services organisation, with an EBITDA of c£3m, has secured Private Equity investment that will facilitate substantial growth which will ultimately lead to an exit event once the EBITDA has reached c£15m. The strategy is based upon strategic acquisitions as well as organic growth throughout the UK.
Their well established board are seeking to recruit a highly commercial CFO that can be part of this challenging project and the main responsibilities will be:
- Group Board Director reporting to the CEO.
- Development, monitoring, reporting and interpretation of business KPIs.
- Accurate reporting (statutory, management, investor, debt provider), including annual audit.
- Participation in Group strategic and tactical planning and decision-making.
- Presentation of financial information, internally and externally, including:
- Preparation and presentation of detailed annual budgets and 3-year forecasts.
- Presentation, interpretation and oversight of the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, B/S, cash-flow, capital expenditure performance monitoring vs. budgets and forecasts and reporting and forecasting performance vs. bank financial covenants.
- Preparation, interpretation and presentation of regular and ad-hoc information/papers for investors and banks/finance providers as required.
- Support for acquisitions/projects, including preparation of ad-hoc information/papers.
- Preparation of information to support the sale of the business in due course.
- Assist with the identification, assessment, deal structuring, negotiation, due diligence and integration of acquisitions, including the preparation and presentation of investment cases.
- All stakeholder management.
The successful candidate will have the following background and attributes:
- A qualified ACA.
- Experience at main board level within a PE-backed or owner-managed business.
- A track record of managing growth.
- An understanding of contract-based business models.
- Be resident in the north east or be prepared to work there during the week.
