You will support the executive director in managing and optimising the organisation's funding arrangements.

Client Details

My client is a vibrant, confident and independent award winning housing association with ambitious plans, backed by strong finances and excellent colleagues. Established in 2008 as a stock transfer association, they have added 800 homes to their property portfolio, and are continuing to significantly invest in and improve, their homes and services to customers.

They have around 220 employees providing services to 7,500 homes.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Finance Partner (Treasury & Reporting):

  • You will monitor and provide all loan reporting, covenant and security requirements
  • You will provide treasury and cash flow data for financial plan, budget, forecasts, and management accounts, this will include liaison with colleagues across the organisation and supporting the executive director (finance and procurement) in the provision of information to the board, committees and third parties
  • Provide support to the development team within assets & growth for the financial appraisal of new developments and regeneration schemes
  • You will prepare our long-term financial plan in Brixx
  • You will perform day-to-day liaison with funders
  • You will manage our short- and medium-term cash deposits
  • You will support the ED, along with the input of treasury advisers, in the management and optimisation of the loan portfolio
  • You will support the implementation of strategic projects including the raising of additional loans and improvements in cash flow forecasting. This is likely to include detailed analysis of treasury documents to screen and resolve issues with new proposals or amendments to our rights and duties for reporting to the ED (F&P)
  • You will compile our financial reports to the Regulator of Social Housing and deal with any queries arising
  • You will prepare allocated sections of the annual report and financial accounts
  • You will support the design and implementation of strategic improvement projects across the organisation
  • You will ensure the organisation's financial regulations and treasury management policy are complied with
  • You will undertake such other work as determined by the organisation as being compatible with the responsibility levels of the post.

Profile

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of preparing and analysing treasury data for inclusion in financial plans and reports to assist in decision making
  • Experience of reporting to executive level within organisations
  • Experience of collaborating with a wide range of colleagues, funders, professional advisers, regulators and other stakeholders
  • Experience of working in social housing or businesses with one of more similarities
  • Excellent verbal, written and numerical communication skills
  • Strong digital skills, including experience of specialist finance systems and MS Office
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Approachable, friendly and with a commitment to delivering a high-quality experience for customers and colleagues

Qualifications and other requirements

  • CCAB qualified accountant
  • Driving license with own transport preferred
