Following a successful year of growth a Global Technology organisation are looking for an ambitious Finance Assistant to take full responsibility of their AP function. The role will work directly with the Financial Controller offering a strong development track, ideal for an entry-level graduate looking for a career in Finance.
Some Key Finance Assistant AP Responsibilities:
- Ensure Accuracy of the AP ledgers
- Validate & get approval for new accounts prior to setting up on a ledger
- Maintain audit record of standing data changes and approvals
- Processing of supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparation of supplier payments
- Payments are prepared in line with the payments timetable
- Any payments withheld are monitored and released when approval given
- Payments are presented for approval in a clear and organised format
- Establish good communication with operational management
- Resolve questions / issues in an organised and controlled manner
- Escalate issues to the appropriate person in a timely manner
- Focus on improving processes to minimise supplier queries
- Maintain compliance with processes and procedures
- Support senior finance staff in documenting processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance and recommend corrective action when identified
Experienced required:
- Relevant graduate degree
- Some exposure to accounting software
- Detail-orientated and able to work autonomously
