The Commercial Finance Analyst will play an integral role in supporting the growth of the business both organically and via new store openings. The role holder will work alongside senior stakeholders, including the CEO, and provide the critical analysis required to facilitate the necessary strategic decision making.

 

Commercial Finance Analyst responsibilities:

  • Assuming ownership across the monthly and year end accounting for the retail business
  • Driving growth via the implementation of commercially robust KPIs
  • Managing and influencing CAPEX spend
  • Working with wider operational teams and acting as a true business partner to both the property and marketing departments
  • Continually undertaking detailed, commercial store reviews with a focus on store performance, labour, ordering, customer service, inventory and stock, return on investment, logistics and fixed assets
  • Working with operations to ensure that spend is forecast accurately whilst monitoring returns
  • Influencing decision making at senior levels by highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Leading and mentoring two direct reports

 

The candidate:

  • Qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
  • Demonstrable multi site retail experience
  • Experienced in managing a team
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Emotionally intelligent and capable of building relationships with wider teams beyond finance
  • Ambitious - eager to progress to the next level whilst contributing to the growth of the business
  • Strong Excel ability
