Assistant Financial Accountant

CIMA / ACCA studier sought for a very exciting business based in Manchester. The company seeks an ambitious individual, capable of progressing into a Financial/Management accounting role over the next 12-18months. You will be involved in a very broad remit:

• Month end co-ordination and Group Reporting
• Reviewing Gross Margin
• European intercompany reconciliations
• Complex balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of Statutory Accounts packs for multiple entities
• Responsibility for 2/3 Junior Finance Assistants
• Assistance with annual Budgets and interim reforecasts
• Liaison with auditors and tax advisors regarding the above statutory accounts.
• Producing, implementing and updating Financial control policies and procedures
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting.

You will take a high degree of responsibility for a number of sites and therefore enjoy a well-rounded role that will give you a high degree of practical exposure.

You will be;
ACCA / CIMA studying (having completed a degree / AAT).
Experienced in working in a fast paced finance function.
Able to demonstrate confident IT skills and have a solid working knowledge of MS Excel.
Able to present yourself in a confident and professional manner.
Looking to progress into a broad, business facing Management Accounting role.
