Commercial Finance Manager

Our client seeks a commercially focussed Financial Business Partner to join their Cambridge based HQ team in an interesting and varied high profile role.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the main purpose of this role is to support senior operational staff of various business units with their commercial decision making processes.  The job therefore involves working with decision makers, providing accurate budgets & forecasts whilst highlighting operational risk/opportunities and ensuring that budget holders are in a position to brief their peers and implement effective plans. Additionally you will be looking for efficiencies in the reporting systems, creating KPI’s. Areas of activity will include; 

• Ad-hoc projects – business change, investment appraisals, activity based costings
• Working with project accountants supporting balance sheet reviews
• Supporting implementation of new ERP system 

The ideal candidate will be clear on the bigger commercial picture and be skilled at analysing data, preparing accurate budgets and communicating this information to non-financial staff in a palatable format.  A team player, you will be good at prioritising tasks and as well as influencing senior stakeholders. You will have experience of working in a larger corporate.
