Senior Accountant

Sellick Partnership are working exlusivley with an ambitious public sector organisation who are looking to recruit two Senior Accountants within their Resources Directorate. The Senior Accountants will have key responsibility for managing the organisations money and people as well as ensuring that democratic decisions are well informed and legally sound.

The role will provide a high level of quality in financial management in relation to the following functional areas:

- Budget monitoring and assurance
- Medium Term Financial Planning and Budget setting
- Providing financial advice and support to the local School's Forum on Educational funding issues
- Supporting the development of business cases for new initiatives
- Driving improvements in the way the business provides financial support to their customers

This is a dynamic organisation which gives its employees the opportunity to influence senior management, drive their own initiatives and liaise with high profile external customers.

The ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and be able to deliver an effective business partner approach. You should be able to confidently attend board meetings and clearly communiate financial issues to Senior Management. The Senior Accountants will be responsible for two direct reports and so should have previous management experience.
