Financial Controller - Fashion

Financial Controller 

Salary:  £70,000 - £80,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Location:  Central London

A leading E-commerce Fashion business requires a high calibre qualified accountant to assist the Finance Director in driving the business through an exciting period of growth and development.

This will be a hands on role within a fast paced and dynamic business, and requires individuals with the desire and ability to provide a range of financial and commercial services.

Duties to include:

• Act as business partner to a range of internal stakeholders including the CEO, COO, Sales Directors, Senior Logistics and Supply Chain staff, etc.
• Oversight of the monthly management accounts pack and related analysis.
• Production of Flash reports, Board reporting, and a range of value adding analysis to support decision making.
• Manage the production of the annual statutory accounts.
• Timetable and manage the annual audit process. 
• Full oversight and management of the month end process. 
• Asses the current state of the finance structure, systems, processes, and controls and implement improvements where required.
• Development of the small finance team. 
• Oversight of VAT, Corporation Tax, Payroll, etc.
• Responsible for budgeting, financial planning, and regular cashflow forecasting. 
• Support the FD in a range of projects and initiatives, including providing support in the continued development of the businesses overall strategy.

Candidate requirements:

• Qualified accountant, preferably ACA.
• Excellent technical accounting experience, combined with strong commercial accounting experience and acumen. 
• Experience of working with Supply Chain and Logistics teams would be of distinct advantage.
• Prior Retail, FMCG, E-Commerce, or general Consumer industry experience will again be an advantage. 
• First class communication and business partnering skills and experience.
• Proven ability to improve financial controls and processes.
• Prior experience of leading or assisting in finance and ERP system upgrades/implementations.
