FP&A Manager - Berkshire
An exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join us as a FP&A Manager to support the FP&A deliverable's. The role will involve significant interaction and the need to influence the Divisional Finance Directors and CFO and the key deliverable's for the role are financial planning processes along with all centralised business unit consolidation and group level reporting. The role will drive standardisation, clarity of financial drivers and ensure timely and accurate performance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and developing the annual budget and forecast processes, ensuring the integrity and consistency of submitted data
- Pre-empting issues, understanding and then challenging key inputs and assumptions
- Driving the delivery of completely accurate, consistent and reliable budget and forecast templates
- Ensure effective delivery of the business plan and PCR process from the FP&A team
- Supporting FD month-end alignment meeting ensuring sufficient challenge of each divisions' results and linkage with prior forecast commitments
- Supporting the development of effective quarterly rolling forecast process including risk-adjusted forecasting
- Working to provide information to Senior Management to ensure timely and robust provision of external analysis as required
- Providing financial support and insight as required by the Head of FP&A.
- Providing central modelling and sensitivity analysis to support business decisions and understanding as and when necessary
Skills and experience will include-
- Graduate-calibre qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) - 2-3 years PQE
- Experience of financial support to a multi-site, multi-currency retail or hospitality business.
- Commercial experience / experience of support operations/management teams
- Strong analytical ability and forecasting skills with strong attention to detail and excel modelling and strong PowerPoint skills
- A results-focussed aptitude for commercial finance work, an inquisitive mind
- Effective interpersonal skills: must have the credibility and gravitas to liaise with and challenge senior members of the business
- Experience of analysing and conveying complex ideas to non-finance colleagues
- Systems management experience
- Experience in the finance team of a large company
- Good academics undergraduate degree, first time passes in accountancy exams and/or good A levels or A level equivalents.
