About Scope

Scope is a major UK pan disability charity that is embarked on a programme of fundamental change to deliver its goal of ‘Everyday equality’ for disabled people. Continuing to develop a high-performing finance team is critical to delivering our goal.

About the role

As Finance team leader, and leader in the organisation as a whole, this is a key role in developing a lean and efficient organisation, focussed on achieving our strategic aims and making the most of our resources.

This is a significant leadership role within Scope and you will be responsible for maintaining an effective financial and fiscal control framework, the provision of fit for purpose and efficient finance and procurement services, procurement strategy, statutory and fiscal reporting, treasury management and safeguarding the assets of the charity.

About you

You will have a recognised and reputable UK or international accountancy qualification (ACA; ACCA or equivalent).   Experience in a similar job role for an organisation with similar financial dimensions is essential along with rounded experience of financial management and service provision, including managing budgets, forecasting and reporting.

We are looking for someone to be able to start in early August.  The role is based in Scope’s new London Office at Here East on the Olympic Park, Stratford, London, managing a team of 11, including 5 direct reports, and is responsible for developing and managing the team’s capacity and capabilities to support Scope in delivering its strategy.

To apply

We offer an excellent benefits package including flexible working, 27 days’ holiday and generous pension.

As a disability equality charity, Scope strives to make all opportunities to get involved as inclusive and accessible as possible. We offer a guaranteed interview scheme for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria. We will consider any reasonable adjustments and flexible working arrangements that make this role more accessible.
