Finance Manager

Position: Finance Manager
Location: London
Salary: £34,000 - £42,000
Role: Permanent

Our client is seeking to appoint a Finance Manager who will report directly to the Finance & Resources Director. You will be supported by a full time Finance Officer.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential.

To be responsible for the day to day financial operations of the School including the provision of timely and accurate financial and management information.
To be responsible for the management of the finance staff to ensure all individual finance functions are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
To advise the Director of Finance and Resources on financial and administrative aspects with focus on financial and management accounting.

Knowledge and Experience

Experience and knowledge of accounting
Knowledge and experience of strategic financial planning and modelling
Experience of managing budgeting and reporting processes
Experience in generating income and preparation of grant funding bids
Knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and legislation
Strong commercial awareness
Knowledge and experience of tendering processes and managing contracts
Knowledge of financial management software such as FMS and Sage

Qualifications

Educated to a degree level or equivalent
Chartered accountancy qualifications (e.g. ACA, ACCA)
Other relevant professional qualifications
