Assistant Financial Accountant

This role reports into a supportive line manager who will be there to help you advance your professional career.

In this hands-on Financial Accountant role, you will take responsibility for a range of duties:

• Support the production financial reports for internal, group and external purposes
• Dealing with VAT queries
• Support of completion of and record keeping for specified VAT submissions
• Support treasury and derivatives, including specified parts of cashflow forecasting and removing/minimizing foreign exchange risk
• Assisting with preparing accounts in line within IFRS
• Intercompany reporting to group
• Assisting producing accurate financial information, including balance sheet reconciliations, commentary, management account reports, budgets, forecast and other key financial analysis reports
• Supporting the completion of financial charges for allocated costs to the P&L
• Highlight financial/business changes which affect area of responsibility and communicate them
• Identify improvements in current processes
• Highlight any areas of potential current or future risk, working with managers to reduce/eliminate the risk
• Opportunity to get involved within Corporation tax calculations and submissions

Requirements:

• Part ACA/ACCA Qualified
• VAT & Tax knowledge
• IFRS exposure
