Finance Manager

An award-winning construction business based in Harrow, Greater London is looking for a part qualified or qualified by experienced Finance Manager to join them full-time on a permanent basis. This Finance Manager position requires you to be efficient and responsive in providing financial control and management of all entities within an SME Group structured business.

Responsibilities of your new role

In a standalone finance role reporting to the Managing Director, your key duties as Finance Manager will include:

• Management reporting activities on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis to produce information for the board
• Cash flow reporting weekly
• Overseeing / posting all purchase ledger invoices
• Making UK and European payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Dealing with invoice queries – both supplier and customer
• Chasing purchase ledger credit notes and managing missing invoices
• Credit control for overdue customer balances
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Supplier liaison and spend reporting
• Tracking & reporting on job profitability
• Dealing with auditors and preparing year end information
• Identifying areas to reduce costs across overheads activities
• Dealing with insurance companies / utilities / banking queries

Candidate profile

The business seeks a Finance Manager who demonstrates:

• Part qualified or qualified by experience
• Experience in a standalone Finance position within an SME environment
• Experience as a Finance Manager
• Strong double entry bookkeeping experience
• Experience using Sage Line 50 and intermediate/advanced Excel skills

Salary

The successful Finance Manager will be offered £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
