My exclusive client, a leading FMCG company with a great reputation has a fantastic opportunity for a Factory Accountant to join the team.
Reporting to the talented Financial Controller the responsibilities and account-abilities will include:
- Daily completion and scrutiny of Production Information. Tracking yield and material movements throughout the cheese production process
- Standard costing analysis and maintenance
- Providing analysis of raw material useage, by product and wastage
- To be responsible for producing management reports as required on a timely basis
- Interacting with and challenging the operations teams
- Preparation and posting of monthly journals
- To attend daily production meetings liaising/advising heads of departments regarding any data collecting issues
- To assist in the continued development of reporting systems and data collection
- To liaise with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure the accuracy of cheese stocks
- To be familiar with sales ordering and invoicing processes, all aspects of receiving and processing invoices, all aspects of sales ledger
The Person:
- Strong IT and Excel skills
- Thorough experience of factory accountancy/costing
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills, being able to deal with stakeholders at all levels
- Ideally AAT Qualified
- Tenacious and inquisitive
