Systems Accountant

An exciting opportunity for a Systems Accountant to join a stable and well-established organisation. Whether you are a fully qualified and experienced accountant or someone looking for an opportunity to gain a qualification whilst working within a highly motivated team this opportunity could be for you.

You will join a team that supports services within the organisation to effectively manage budgets, make effective decisions, and ensures that financial systems and accounting information is robust and effective.

As a Systems Accountant, you will already have experience of working within a finance team or have recently completed a relevant degree, but we appreciate that you may not yet have had the opportunity to start or complete a recognised finance qualification. You will, however, be committed to obtaining a qualification and will be provided support as required. Qualifications supported are AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA and CIMA.

You will:

• Be friendly and approachable with excellent IT skills and be a proficient user of Microsoft Office, in particular, Excel.
• Undertake and take ownership of a number of key controls and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that the organisation's financial system and cash receipting system are kept up to date.
• Play a key part within the budget monitoring process and year-end closedown

As Systems Accountant you will benefit from:

• Excellent salary of between £27,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
• Flexible working and good annual leave allowance
• Support with further professional studies such as AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or CIMA
