Group Financial Controller | High Wycombe Buckinghamshire | £65,000 - 70,000 plus car allowance and bonus

 

Our client is a professional services company who are looking to hire a Group Financial Controller to join their team.

The Role

The Group Financial Controller performs a high profile and critical role in leading the Accounts team and works with Senior Management to ensure the successful management of the business and delivery of the Strategic plan. This is a hands-on role managing the core finance function and reporting of both management accounts and statutory reporting for all group entities, including consolidated group accounts.

The duties include:

  • To undertake the role of Financial Controller and Company Secretary and oversee the accounts team.  Maintaining and developing policies and procedures to provide sound financial controls To attend Group Board Meetings and provide financial guidance and analysis To work closely with the Group MD and Operations Directors to deliver change, drive profit improvement and cash management plans, and present and drive through strategies for efficiency. Progress the AR 5 Year Plan and specifically the Finance and Governance Strategy.  Prepare and consolidate annual budgets and cash flow forecasts To liaise with banks and external parties, and monitor contracts and services provided by suppliers To prepare monthly flash fees, quarterly profit and loss management accounts together with quarterly full detailed team and fee earner KPI information. To oversee the Executive Reward Scheme and payroll policies, the Group Private Health Scheme and arrange and maintain the general insurances for the Group. To prepare and submit VAT returns and PAYE / NI documentation in accordance with HMRC statutory deadlines.

The Candidate

  • Professional accounting qualification ACCA/ACA or equivalent. 5 years post qualification experience in the professional services sector is desirable. Confident and effective communicator at all levels including Board.
