Fantastic NEW role to work for this small UK Venture Capital business that specialise in the Renewable / Green Energy sector.
Reporting to their Head of Planning and Modelling, you will work on all new investment transactions and be a key member of the decision support team. Ultimately you are responsible for analysing and modelling prospective investment projects in terms of where to deploy investment capital.
Key Duties:
- Planning and analysis and all aspects of business acquisition
- Assist the Head of Modelling and Planning to improve decision making by providing strategic and financial advice, backed by relevant analysis and consideration of risk
- Development and implementation of financial and valuation models at the development, construction and operational stage of a project’s life cycle
- Develop template models to allow for quick economic project evaluation
- Perform relevant financial analysis and assist in presenting findings to key stakeholders
- Perform sensitivity analysis and review sensitivity results from financial models
- Development of financial tools to analyse project performance, progress and viability
- Assist in identifying key business drivers and in performing variance analysis for projects
- Assist in designing the annual budget templates and long term planning process, including periodic re-forecasting
- Assist in building a fully integrated financial model from which the business will be monitored and analysed
- Support Finance, Asset management, Investment team, treasury and tax as required
- Prepare, maintain and update financial forecasts to reflect actual results on a quarterly basis
Candidate Profile:
- Degree qualified with a management accounting/commercial accounting background (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Experience of Modelling environment - some experience of Macros is essential
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Ability to ‘own’ a process
- This is a small business - self confidence is essential
