Corporate Finance Manager

Axiom are working with a fast growing global Management Consulting organisation and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a French Speaking Corporate Finance Manager to support the EMEA region of the organisation. Your role as the Corporate Finance Manager will sit within the Management Accounting team, currently formed of 1 Finance Manager and 5 Management Accountants. The team will be managed day-to-day by both Finance Managers who will report into the EMEA Financial Controller.
 

Key Responsibilities include the following:

 

• Specific ownership of accounting, reporting and all compliance for two entities in Belgium
• Day-to-day ownership of numerous EMEA based entities - directly performing all aspects of financial management and overseeing such work performed by Management Accountants
• Supervision of 5 direct report Management Accountants (joint responsibility with the existing Finance Manager)
• Preparation of General ledger account reconciliations in line with SOX requirements
• Review and approval of journals and reconciliations performed by Management Accountants
• Assist the EMEA Finance team in the enhancement of month-end processes including month-end accounting and ensuring compliance with US GAAP & UK GAAP
• Coordinate inter-company reconciliations entries for EMEA entities with multiple group companies
• Strict adherence with the SOX compliance process (handle SOX queries, SOX self-assessment)
• Accurate and timely submission of regulatory reporting (VAT/PSA/EC sales) as required
• Preparation and finalisation of annual statutory accounts for UK and EMEA entities
• Direct liaison with external auditors and management of the audit process throughout the year
• Other ad-hoc support to the department as required 
   

Qualification and Skills Required:

Essential :

 

• French speaker - fluent in both written and spoken language
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Current experience of performing a month-end close process either within industry or from an audit/review perspective
• Strong technical expertise in a major GAAP (i.e. US GAAP or IFRS)
• Experience in controlling multiple EMEA based entities, being responsible for all aspects of financial management (i.e. full ownership of balance sheet and P&L)
• Experience in completing annual statutory accounts for multiple EMEA based entities, from production of accounts through to successful signing after being audited
• Direct liaison with external auditors and day-to-day management of the audit process throughout the year
