Management Accountant

Management Accountant, Central London – Media and Marketing, up to £40,000

An exciting opportunity in a media and marketing agency has become available for an enthusiastic part qualified management accountant based in Central London. The most important traits for this role are a good attention to detail, an eagerness to learn and ambition to progress within a company. This agency is looking for a management accountant to work directly with the Head of Finance in a commercial focussed management accounts role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with internal departments (travel, IT, etc.) to ensure accurate attribution of costs
• Regularly review accounts for group companies to ensure timely and accurate costs hit each account
• Working with Head of Finance and other Management Accountant to ensure accurate reporting of month end revenue and costs
• Cashflow forecasting along with Head of Finance
• Reconciliations at month end of balance sheet (accruals, pre-payments, accrued & deferred revenue, WIP)
• Depreciation of fixed assets in line with internal policy
• Management of freelance resource along with heads of production, design & account management to ensure optimum utilisation is achieved
• Process improvement – working with finance team to improve internal processes and procedures

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA, eager to progress and qualify in the next couple of years
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong excel skills (vlookup, pivots, sumifs etc.)
• Extremely good attention to detail and highly analytical to question all postings to the P&L
• Experience in a related Advertising or Media environment is advantageous but not a requirement
• Desire to push on and progress within an advertising organisation that rewards those who they think are capable
