Interim Tax Accountant

Our Client is a Leeds based business who have an opportunity for a Tax Accountant to join them for an initial 6 month interim contract, with a very strong possibility of becoming a 12 month contract.

The role will take responsibility for:
*Preparing and submitting tax returns for the business and associated companies.
*Preparing and submitting statutory returns for HMRC-VAT returns, intrastat returns and EC Sales List.
*Providing support to the payroll team and tax colleagues in relation to employment taxes and global mobility.
*Assisting in delivering VAT and tax training.
*Supporting VAT and tax compliance audits.
*Ensuring that key system processes are mapped, documented and training documents available.
*Maintaining technical tax expertise through continuous personal development and attend conferences and training as required.
*Other duties as directed from time to time.
The successful candidate will demonstrate significant tax knowledge and experience as well as experience of having delivered in a similar role.
