A reputable organisation in the travel, leisure and retail sector is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join them in Croydon for a full-time, permanent role. The Business Partner will be responsible for the planning, forecasting and reporting, along with identifying opportunities for margin improvement and process efficiencies within the wider business.

Responsibilities of your new role

The key responsibilities of your role as Finance Business Partner will include:

• Taking responsibility for delivering robust management reporting
• Working with the business to deliver strong margins and accurate cost reporting
• Producing the month end management accounts
• Ensuring month end reconciliations are performed for the prepayment and accrual tour operating accounts
• Working with the finance team to set efficient budgeting and forecasting processes
• Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Managing the Operations Accountant
• Constantly evolving processes and resources to improve reporting and speed of month end
• Leading, mentoring and developing team members with their knowledge, skills and execution of performance management
• Liaising with the Auditors and supporting the preparation year end audit schedules

Candidate requirements

To be considered for this Finance Business Partner role you must be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or finalist) Accountant and a good cultural fit for the firm. You must also demonstrate:

• Experience working with high volumes of data and to tight deadlines
• SME mentality and a hands-on approach
• Good understanding of control accounts and reconciliations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take the initiative
• The ability to lead and motivate people
• Experience ideally in Retail, Travel, FMCG and/or Online retail
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong understanding of finance systems and how data links across the different ledgers
• Excellent communication skills
