Senior Internal auditor

Principal Accountabilities:

You will primarily be responsible for a mix of leading/participating in the end to end internal audit process including planning, fieldwork, reporting and then the monitoring of remediation activities. This will cover financial and operational areas.Work will include conducting process interviews, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls through assessment of design, implementation and operational effectiveness, the preparation of working papers and reports. The latter providing pragmatic and effective improvement recommendations that are commercially acceptable to business management.You will be expected to develop and maintain productive relationships with individuals at all levels across the business in the UK and internationally.Duties will also include review and analysis of half yearly internal risk and control questionnairesProviding consultancy services on best practice controls, processes and compliance requirementsThe role will require expected to carry out around 40% travel with normal duration of up to 2 consecutive weeks, with the following two weeks based at home.

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will be either CIMA /ACA / ACCA/ IIA qualified with a minimum of 3 years audit experience. They will have a thorough understanding of risk management principles and audit procedures and techniques.To be successful the candidate will need to be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent organisational skills.They should be ambitious, prepared to travel globally and capable of working independently without supervision.The unrestricted ability to travel within all countries is essential as is the passion for working across different businesses and cultures. As part of an international organisation previous multi-national experience is an advantageIdeally candidates will have some IT audit experience with a computer/cyber audit certification an advantage.
