Trainee Accountant

Based in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, we are currently recruiting for a Trainee Accountant to join a reputable and growing accountancy firm on a permanent basis.

This job would suit a school leaver, graduate or somebody looking to kickstart their career in finance. The firm is growing considerably and they are looking to take on three new trainee accountants and train them up from scratch. There are lots of progression opportunities within the practice and they are known to look after their staff very well.

Our client is looking for an articulate and enthusiastic individual to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for many key clients, so an excellent telephone manner is essential. They put their staff through AAT and ACA and full study support is paid for by the firm.

Job responsibilities:

• VAT Return preparation and submission
• Assisting with Payroll
• Ad hoc administrative duties
• Accounts preparation to trial balance including bank, suppliers, customers and ledger reconciliation
• Management of key clients
• Process sales invoices, receipts, and payments
• Dealing with clients via telephone, email and post
