Your new company
A Big 4 firm with an office in Manchester looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager due to growth within their Tax function. This firm has challenged and modernised the way that tax compliance services are delivered, by centralising the activities relating to the preparation and finalisation of tax computations and returns.

Your new role
As a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager you will maintain your own portfolio of clients and take responsibility for ensuring their tax computations are prepared to a high standard, on a timely basis and finalised and submitted to HMRC within agreed deadlines. You will work with other office teams nationally and/or the client directly to understand the requirements at the start of each compliance cycle and provide instructions to the tax computation preparers. You will liaise with your clients via various means and be the initial point of contact.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful applicant for this role you will either be qualified by experience or ATT / CTA / ACA or qualified. You will have experience of reviewing of corporate tax computations and returns, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues, or escalate as appropriate. You will have experience of specific technical areas including: complex capital versus revenue treatment; pension scheme and share scheme adjustments; group relief; basic transfer pricing; UK GAAP tax accounting for single entities and simple groups and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a salary of between £35,000-£45,000 dependent on experience and a flexible holiday allowance dependent on grade and current allowance. You will receive plenty of opportunities for personal and professional development, whilst broadening your technical skills and your commercial acumen. There is also opportunity for overseas travel in light of the nature of this role in addition to a market leading flexible working scheme, and flexi benefits package to be tailored to suit the individual.
